You can use the Blue National Doctor and Hospital Finder to locate providers within the U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. If you’re looking for a doctor in Texas, be aware that some hospitals in the network may have doctors who don’t take your insurance. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas tries to work with doctors who usually provide care at hospitals in the BlueChoice network. This information is to help you choose a hospital where the doctors are in-network, so you can avoid paying more out of your own pocket. You might have to pay more if you use certain doctors, like anesthesiologists, pathologists, radiologists or emergency room doctors who aren’t in the network. To find hospitals with in-network doctors, check the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas provider directory.
